Sara & Ali - A Rustic Countryside Treat!
I was very fortunate to be introduced to Sara & Ali via fellow wedding photographer Caro Hutchings. Having been already booked for their date, Caro referred Sara & Ali onto a selection of photographers (including me) and I was very pleased when I received an e-mail asking if I would photograph their day. Sara & Ali are such a friendly and relaxed couple and when I went and met them for the first time to discuss the day in more detail, I knew they would be great to work with. The wedding plans sounded wonderful and as the ceremony was going to be conducted outside, we all hoped the weather would be kind to us as the summer had been a bit of a let-down to say the least!
Their Humanist wedding was held at Rumbolds Farm near Haslemere in the beautiful Surrey countryside. My thanks go to my fiancée Jo for being the second shooter for the day and capturing such fantastic shots and being in the right place at the right time. The weather was kind to us on the day and we managed to get some great portrait shots towards sunset. No wedding day would be complete without food and entertainment, and after the ceremony everyone tucked into a Hog Roast buffet followed by tea and cakes on the lawn. The day finished off with everyone dancing in the 16th Century Barn to the sounds of Derriere Music; a fantastic band who played a mix of old school rock and roll, vintage soul, rockabilly and jumpin’ rhythm n blues.
My thanks again to Sara & Ali for asking Jo and I to photograph their special day and for being such accommodating hosts!
Did someone say Champagne?
