A Vintage Tea Party
Last Sunday Jo and I went along to a tea party held to help raise money for Prostate Cancer research. It was run by the Vintage Tea Party – a small not for profit organisation who plan and host fundraising events to raise money for selected charities. The event was held at the funky Drink Shop & Do cafe in Kings Cross, London and was the perfect location for a spot of tea, delicious sandwiches and tempting sweets!
The afternoon also included a guest speaker to share his stories about his personal battle with Prostate Cancer which definitely reminded everyone why they were there. There was also an auction offering up some fun prizes, with all proceeds going to cancer research. Guests could also get that vintage hairdo courtesy of Pretty Me Vintage, who were on hand to offer some stylish transformations. It was a great afternoon and I was on hand to capture some of the atmosphere of the day. A big thank you to Jeszen, Lexy and the team for organising such a great event!
Time for the auction!
Hi there! I’m a photography student and I’m looking at your work on the vintage tea party, they’re very captivating pictures! I wondered what equipment like what camera and lens you used? Be great to hear back.
Thanks for your commments. I shoot with a Canon 5D MkIII and various prime lenses. I think these photos were mainly shot with 35mm and 85mm lenses.
