An Intimate Summer Proposal - Leeds Castle
Who doesn’t love the thought of a Summer proposal surrounded by beautiful scenery? Back in August I was asked to photograph an intimate proposal in the stunning grounds of Leeds Castle in Kent. Liam contacted me having seen photos from a previous proposal I shot a few years back.
I was more than happy to help out with his last minute request. All I needed to know was the location and time! It’s always a bit tricky trying to remain inconspicuous when shooting the actual proposal – get too near and you might spoil the moment. Stand too far away and you are you lose the sense of intimacy and viewer engagement. On previous proposal shoots I’ve been surrounded by other members of the public, so could blend in a bit more. On this occasion and due to COVID restrictions, there were very few people nearby, making it more difficult to blend in.
Despite this I was still able to capture the emotion of the moment. There was also time for a few relaxed portraits afterwards. Congratulations to Liam and Jodie on your engagement! It was a perfect Summer evening for a proposal – here’s a small selection of photos from the evening. Enjoy 🙂
